Founder & Coach

I started lifting because I wanted to be smaller. I kept lifting because it made me stronger — and that turned out to be the thing I actually wanted.

For years, fitness was something I did to myself rather than for myself. Restrictive eating, hours of cardio, a body I monitored constantly and never quite trusted. It worked, briefly, the way those things always do.

The change came the first time a coach handed me a barbell and told me the goal was to get stronger. Not smaller. Stronger. Within a few months my training had a purpose, my eating had structure instead of rules, and the constant negotiation with my own body finally went quiet.

That's what I coach now. I work with women in St. George, Utah and online across the country — women who are new to lifting, coming back after kids, or done with programs that ask for everything and give back very little.

Fitness should make your life better, not consume it.

I'll never ask you to build your week around the gym. Three focused sessions is enough to change your body and it leaves your life intact. What we're really building is a version of you who trusts what she's capable of — in the weight room, and everywhere the weight room doesn't reach.

The name

Why Chevelle.

Chevelle means bold and beautiful. Two words women are quietly taught to choose between — as if strength costs you softness, or femininity costs you force.

The tiger is here for the same reason. Not as a mascot or a battle cry, but as the most honest image I know of quiet power: composed, beautiful, entirely unbothered by whether it looks strong to anyone else.

You can be both. Most of the women I coach already are.

How I coach

You won't figure this out alone.

I know firsthand how overwhelming fitness can feel when you're trying to figure everything out yourself. What should I eat? How should I train? Am I doing enough? Am I doing too much?

That's why I don't just hand someone a workout or meal plan and send them on their way. I want you to understand what we're doing, learn how your body responds, and build confidence in the process.

Your plan will change as you change. We adjust training, nutrition and expectations based on your progress and what's happening in your life.

My goal isn't for you to depend on me forever. It's to help you build the knowledge, habits and confidence to keep progressing for life.

Build Your Strong means building more than a body.

  • Strength

Real, measurable strength you can see in the numbers and feel in your week.

  • Confidence

Walking into any gym knowing exactly what you’re doing and why.

  • Knowledge

Understanding training and nutrition well enough to make your own calls.

  • Better habits

Routines that survive travel, holidays, busy seasons and bad weeks.

  • Self-belief

Proof, built week by week, that you follow through on what you start.

  • Independence

The ability to keep progressing long after our coaching ends.

Client love

What working with Sam feels like.

Coached by Sam
Working with Sam has made me so much stronger and more confident in what my body is capable of.

Sam has helped me achieve so many of my goals in pole fitness. Moves that once felt incredibly hard are now things I can do with ease. She taught me how cross-training and using different methods to build strength can make such a huge difference. One of my favorite things about Sam is that she's incredibly patient, but she also knows what you're capable of. She isn't just counting reps and stopping when you hit a certain number. If she knows you have more in you, you keep going—because you can. 😂 Working with her has made me so much stronger and more confident in what my body is capable of.

You don’t have to be a bodybuilder or gym expert to start. Sam meets you where you are and creates a plan around your body, your goals, and your lifestyle.

I’ve been working with Sam for months now, and it’s because she is amazing at what she does. She has taught me so much about building muscle, getting stronger, and creating results that are sustainable long-term.

What I believe

Four principles behind every program.

Strength is the foundation

Lean muscle changes your shape, your health markers, and how capable you feel at 40, 50, and 70.

Consistency over intensity

The best program is the one you're still running in a year.

Food is not a moral question

No good lists, no bad lists. Structure, protein, and enough flexibility to live.

Confidence is the real result

Every client comes for a physical goal. Almost none of them say that's what they kept.
